Most of us have needed to quickly embrace technology, seemingly overnight, so that we can stay in touch and remain productive. Whether these virtual meetings are using applications such as Zoom or Google Meet, it helps to ensure that we are all communicating together as a community and an organization. The challenge however, is incorporating a sense of belonging within a team and maintaining culture within the business as a whole.
The Gartner survey shows that organisations, trying to balance employee needs with financial realities, are employing a variety of approaches to time-off policies in response to COVID-19. Nearly half (48%) of employers require employees to use sick leave first, then vacation leave and finally potential PTO for coronavirus absences.
